The skin is the body's largest organ. Always remember that what you apply to your skin will be absorbed through and have an effect on you.
The ingredients used are all 'natural'.
You will NOT find any byproducts from the petrochemical industry, such as the commonly used paraffin waxes, which have a tendency to dry the skin out.
There are no artificial additives:
- Because the only emulsifiers used are beeswax and lanolin the formulas are not the light and fluffy ones you are probably used to, but all the same the blend of oils used means that they do penetrate the skin easily and do not leave a greasy residue.
- Because the formulas are not oil in water emulsions, it means no artificial preservatives are necessary. Beeswax, and in some cases Calendula, are sufficient.
The base ingredients in my products are carriers for other ingredients but also have their own properties that have an effect on the overall product and it's action.
Wherever possible ingredients are Certified Organic or Biodynamic (Demeter). E.g. Currently I am using a NZ Demeter certified Olive Oil from Greenridge Estate in Blenheim and NZ grown Organic Sunflower Oil.
